OSHKOSH, WIS. (September 25, 2017) – The Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce and Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation share similar missions to advocate for business, industry and improved quality of life for all residents in our community, which is why our organizations support the sale of a portion of the Lakeshore Golf Course site to Oshkosh Corporation for its new headquarters.

For 100 years Oshkosh Corporation has been the economic engine driving our local economy, having a significant positive impact on many individuals and families by providing jobs, supporting hundreds of local businesses, and contributing significantly to the quality of life we enjoy. Oshkosh Corporation has put our city on the map nationally and internationally and has instilled a sense of community pride in all of us for protecting and saving American lives every day thanks to the machinery and vehicles it manufacturers right here in Oshkosh.

The City of Oshkosh cannot afford to lose Oshkosh Corporation; the company is too important to our city's economic future and quality of life. We believe selling a portion of the Lakeshore Golf Course site to Oshkosh Corporation is a must to ensure that our city and economy remain strong and vibrant for generations to come.
